Find Your Space

Make a space in your home that is just for relaxation and calmer activities. It could be a couch, a chair in a corner, a room or even a porch. When you are in this “space,” don’t bring any work or things that cause stress. Use it to read or listen to music, anything that makes you happy to bring your stress levels down. Make this place a work free zone where you can associate with calmness, so anytime you enter it, you start feeling relaxed quickly. 

Bring in Some Plants

Have an Organization System

If everything has a place, a bin, a shelf, and you know where that is, that makes cleanup so much quicker. If a child has one bin for their toys, when they are done playing, you just put everything back in that bin. If you have a drawer for art projects, that makes it easier to clean up. The quicker you can put stuff away, the cleaner everything looks and the less stress you will have.

Create a Relaxing Outdoor Space

Some people find that working in their garden is super relaxing. While others prefer to have a finished space where they can relax in.

Take a walk around your neighborhood and see what other neighbors have done to get some ideas. Look on Pinterest or Instagram as well for inspiration.
