I often get calls from buyers who say they want to buy a house and they want to start looking TOMORROW.
Your job as the buyer is to put yourself in a position to be ready to buy. Plus you want to make a good purchase as a good investment.
Buyers tend to make better choices when they are educated and follow the market. You wouldn’t go buy a stock today because it looked good? No, you would follow it for a bit, find out where you think a good value to buy at would be, and then when it hits that point, you buy.

Same for real estate. Before you plan to buy a property, take some time and learn the market. Have your REALTOR® start sending you available properties a few months before you plan to make your purchase.
There might even be specific neighborhoods you are set on and can ask your REALTOR® to send you properties that close in that neighborhood.

All of this will let you become a “market expert” in the area you want to purchase a home, so that when you are ready to start looking, you will know the best values and make the best buy!
