I have lived in South Florida for 34 years and have never been to Art Basel. It is a huge modern and contemporary art show that takes over Miami for four days.

I decided to make this year my first year attending!
My friend and I tried going down Friday night to see some exhibits, only to find that it pretty much closes by 8pm. Anything after that is private parties.
I learned that night that Art Basel is more of a day event, not an evening one.
Knowing that piece of information, we made a second attempt Sunday afternoon and went to Art Miami, Context and Red Dot in the Midtown/ Wynwood Arts District area.
